Getting our clients out and doing things, that we all take for granted, is a nice way to spend the visit for us too but now and again we stumble on an activity or place that is really the cherry on top.
On our days out, to find a bit of breakfast, we found a little place called the Barn coffee shop at Meadow Barn View and it was fantastic. Not only was it a lovely coffee shop, in a lovely setting but the food was fantastic too. I’ve tried to put in to words what made this place make the client and I enjoy it so much but having a quick look on their website they seem to have hit the nail on the head, so here is what they have put….
“Welcome to The Barn – your cosy, countryside coffee shop with a warm welcome and a passion for great coffee! Our peaceful spot is tucked away with beautiful views, indoor and outdoor seating, and a welcoming team that genuinely loves what we do.”
It is since become one of our favourite places to visit and even more so after we learnt more about the surrounding buildings, allotment and workshops. The Barn isn’t a normal coffee shop, it was a project to help people, to offer 10 week training courses in partnership with the Leicestershire Adult Learning Service. Meadow Barn View provides a bespoke service to enrich and develop individuals lives. They offer a family friendly environment and are committed to working closely with individuals, families, carers and professionals. Their aim is to support each person through their own development, to reach their full potential and the Barn Coffee shop is part of that development.
That, for both the client and myself, is a huge cherry on the top of one of the Barn’s cakes, which we have yet to sample but they do look good.
