Now that the summer is upon us we will no doubt see an increase in salad items filling our fridges but how much do we actually consume and how much finds its way in to the bin?

It is funny how a change in the weather can change our outlook or our habbits but how many of us use these changes to help change habbits to better help our mental health state?

One of our clients has been on a rollercoaster recently but has found something to centre themselves in the form of a vegetable garden. I would love to take all of the credit for this but the client has done it all themselves and has been able to use it to motivate them self too. Now the client rises at a good hour with a bounce in their step to do something positive, and due to the hard work being done with their vegetable patch they are tackling the garden too. Due to this they are becoming more active, which is helping with their sleeping and eating and we are seeing the positives seeping in to other activities and their mindset when it comes to dealing with their mental health.

This client does not have much but they have worked so hard to find bargains and we have helped by searching through Facebook market place for free items to help. It is funny how planting vegetables in your garden not only saves you money in the long run but is good for your body and also for your mind.

If you have items that are no longer being used then please contact us as it really could make a difference to someone’s life.
